Rikugien autumn night viewing
- Hours
- 18:00–20:30 (last entry 19:30). The garden closes at 17:00 after daytime hours and reopens at 18:00.
- Admission
- ¥1,000 in advance (online only), ¥1,200 on the day (¥500 with disability ID). Free for primary-school age and under.

- Booking advisedDaily ticket cap. Advance sales start date to be announced on the official site. Same-day tickets at the main gate (18:00–19:30, cash) or online.
Twelve evenings to walk Rikugien's autumn colours under lights. Daytime tickets do not carry over; the evening needs its own ticket.
Everyone is cleared out at 17:00, so you cannot stay on from the afternoon. Spend the gap hour near Komagome Station and be at the main gate for 18:00. Weekend evenings can sell out; buy ahead.
About the garden
A stroll garden built around 88 scenes from classical poetry. The tea house by the pond serves matcha. If you have one hour for a garden in Tokyo, start here.
Where to stand
Climb the artificial hill Fujishiro-toge for a view over the whole pond. The 88 poetic scenes are marked with small stone posts; hunting them makes the loop last.
Practical notes
¥300, seven minutes from Komagome on the Yamanote line. The tea house Fukiage Chaya serves matcha facing the pond. Evening illuminations in late autumn require timed tickets.
