The normally closed stroll garden of Denbo-in (a national scenic site) and the Ema-do hall with about fifty large votive paintings. A mist effect runs roughly every 30 minutes.
See the Ema-do first; it closes at 16:00. Photos are fine in the garden but not in the hall. Gravel and steps throughout, no ramps.
Denbo-in Garden at night (Kinryu Yakai)

The Denbo-in ponds and rockwork under evening lights, with dance and a mist effect (until 20:30).
Your daytime ticket gets you back in at night. From 18:00 to 21:30 there is free projection mapping on the Hozomon gate and Main Hall and the temple grounds fill up; do the garden first.
About the garden
The stroll garden of Denbo-in, Senso-ji's head priest's residence, dating back to the early Edo period and a national Place of Scenic Beauty since 2011. It is a few minutes from Nakamise but behind a wall; in 2026 it opens for five days only, by day and by night.
Where to stand
Two ponds lie in the low ground west and north of the Great Shoin, joined by a narrow, stream-like channel. The shoreline keeps jutting in and out, so each turn of the path gives the ponds a new outline. Look for the dry waterfall of heavy stones and stop in front of it.
Practical notes
Open only 30 Oct–3 Nov 2026 as part of Asakusa Culture & Lights. One ticket (¥2,300 in advance, ¥2,500 on the day) covers day and night with re-entry. Photos are fine in the garden but not in the Ema-do votive-plaque hall, and the paths are gravel and steps with no ramps.
